As we celebrate another beautiful year of love stories, yes moments, and unforgettable appointments, we are also reflecting on where we began and the vision that brought us here.
The story of ellynne
Our story began on December 18th, 2004, when our founder, Lynne Rustad, opened the doors to a boutique she dreamed would transform the bridal experience in Nebraska. Before entering the bridal world, Lynne spent nearly twenty years in real estate and home construction, helping families find their homes with a warmth and attentiveness that left a lasting impact. When she imagined Ellynne Bridal, she brought that same heart into creating a space that felt welcoming, comforting, and deeply personal. A bridal store that felt like home.
Even the name Ellynne reflects how close this dream was to her heart. Lynne combined her own name with her husband Elliott’s, creating a boutique that began with family and intention. From the beginning, she envisioned more than a gown shop. She imagined an experience, a moment where every bride felt seen, supported, and celebrated. Her guiding phrase, “Where you are always treated like a princess,” continues to shape the way we welcome and care for every bride who walks into our store.
The legacy that lives on
Lynne’s influence extended far beyond the bridal industry. She was known for her generosity, compassion, and dedication to causes supporting women, children, and families. Through her involvement with organizations such as Friendship Home, the Child Advocacy Center, People’s City Mission, and many others, she helped create meaningful change in the community she loved.
Her values continue to define Ellynne Bridal today. Brides often share that the moment they step inside our boutique, they feel something different. Something warm, genuine, and deeply human. That feeling is Lynne’s legacy, woven into the fabric of who we are.
Where we are today
Twenty one years later, Ellynne Bridal has grown into a vibrant and modern destination for brides across the Midwest while staying grounded in the heart Lynne created. Our boutique has evolved alongside the brides we serve, offering a curated collection of designers, an inclusive range of sizes, and a beautifully refreshed store designed to inspire.
Our team brings both expertise and empathy to every appointment. We take the time to understand each bride’s vision and guide her with care and confidence. Whether she is drawn to timeless elegance or bold modernity, our collection and our stylists work together to create a meaningful and memorable experience.
This year brings a moment that feels especially full circle. On December 18, the same day Ellynne Bridal opened its doors twenty one years ago, we will celebrate the grand opening of The Lily Room, our new prom sister store. Beginning a new chapter on the very date our story started makes this anniversary feel even more symbolic and special.
